QL Resources Berhad ("QL") wishes to inform the Exchange that it had on 23 August 2010 acquired a total of 11,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Lay Hong Berhad ("Lay Hong")at the price of RM1.05 per share through a off market transaction. The said acquisition represents 23.29% of Lay Hong's paid-up capital. The total consideration involved was RM11,550,000.00.

The said acquisition is a good investment opportunity which could bring potential synergy to the Company.
