The Board of Directors of QL Resources Berhad ("QL") wishes to clarify the articles in The Star today which highlights "QL to take up stake in Sunsuria", that QL is not investing in Sunsuria Berhad but instead it is QL's substantial shareholders, CBG Holdings Sdn. Bhd. ("CBG") and Farsathy Holdings Sdn. Bhd. ("Farsathy") via it's private investment company namely, Ruby Technique Sdn. Bhd. that has bought a stake of more than 5% in Sunsuria. The Directors of QL, Mr Chia Song Kun, Mr Chia Seong Fatt and Mr Chia Seong Pow are deemed interested via their shareholdings in CBG & Farsathy pursuant to Section 6A of the Companies Act, 1965.
