17.1 Share capital (Cont’d)
The holders of ordinary shares are entitled to receive dividends as declared from time to time, and are entitled to
one vote per share at meetings of the Company.
17.2 Share premium
Share premium comprises the premium paid on subscription of shares in the Company over and above the par
value of the shares.
17.3 Translation reserve
The translation reserve comprises all foreign currency differences arising from the translation of the financial
statements of the Group entities with functional currencies other than RM as well as the exchange differences
arising from monetary items that in substance form the Company’s net investments in subsidiaries.
17.4 Fair value reserve
The fair value reserve comprises the cumulative net change in the fair value of available-for-sale financial assets
until the investments are derecognised or impaired.
17.5 Hedging reserve
The hedging reserve comprises the effective portion of the cumulative net change in the fair value of cash flow
hedges related to hedged transactions that have not yet occurred.
17.6 Retained earnings
The Company may distribute single tier dividends to its shareholders out of its entire retained earnings.
